|
Opportunities for the PADI professional have never been better, especially in
Southeast Asia. After a huge increase in certifications in the
1990's, recreational diving continues to expand all over the
world. Almost anywhere there's a tropical island, you'll probably
find a dive shop with a PADI Instructor.

In
colder
climates, more and more people are being trained prior to traveling
to these exotic new destinations so the market at home also
continues to expand as well.

Despite a general economic downturn in Southeast Asia, the tourism economy continues
to grow by leaps and bounds. Due to government promotions and devalued currencies, tourism
arrivals arre increasing.

Vietnam, China, Indonesia, Burma and the Andaman Islands, have opened up further
opportunities for new dive centers. As travel becomes easier, divers are some of the first
to explore the new frontiers. Southeast Asia now offers some of the most fantastic diving

Southeast Asian countries are quickly gaining in popularity as the areas of choice for
discerning travelers as infrastructure improves and air-fares become less expensive.
