IDC Staff Instructors

Bent Posejpal and John Williams have been conducting IDCs in Phuket since 1991. In fact, we were the first organization to hold IDCs on a regular basis here in Southern Thailand. Since then, we have certified over 300 PADI Instructors, including the majority of the dive shop owners and managers here in Thailand!		In 1995 we began working with South East Asia Divers as Instructional Consultants, conducting IDCs with this PADI 5-Star IDC Center at Le Meridien Hotel here in Phuket.
PADI allows us eight candidates, but we feel this is simply too many to maintain our high standards. To you as a candidate, this means more and better feedback from your staff. is a PADI IDC Staff Instructor and Master Instructor, and was Managing Director at a 5-Star IDC Center here in Phuket for almost 10 years before joining Bent in Siam Dive n' Sail. He has been diving since 1975, and has lived and worked in California, the Bahamas, Mexico, Grand Cayman, Hawaii, New Zealand and Australia before settling in Phuket in 1987. He has been a PADI Instructor since 1983.   John is the co-author of two diving books on Thailand (published by Asian Diver and Periplus Editions-) as well as various magazine articles. He is also an accomplished underwater photographer. John holds a Bachelors Degree in Advertising and Underwater Photography from Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California .   Together, we will make your upper-level training as enjoyable and thorough as two professionals with this type of experience possibly can.
